Agriculture SOP

Low-level rural-flight, equipment, worker, and adjacent-property controls.

  • Coordinate landowner/tenant, field boundaries, workers, livestock, roads, irrigation wires and obstacles.
  • Expect low-level agricultural aircraft; monitor seasonal activity and yield/land early.
  • Account for heat, dust, remote terrain, weak communications, large-area VLOS and battery recovery.
  • Mapping follows the photogrammetry SOP with crop-specific lighting/ground-control needs.
  • Dispensing or applying substances can require Part 137 and federal/state pesticide, environmental and worker-protection compliance; basic Part 107 is not sufficient.
  • Maintain chemical separation from imaging equipment/batteries and follow applicable SDS/site controls.
